My trip to Mars
I am tossing and turning in my bed trying to get over something that is starting to get my nerves up. Just think, I will be in a real rocket and getting launched in five more days. No more sleeping on my uncomfortable bed. YES! But the bad news is that I just got a letter saying that I was one of the four picked out of the whole wide WORLD! Ok, now I feel like I am going to puke.
My friend kyra said I should meet her for lunch at the bakery. She said she had something important to tell me. When I got there, she was acting all suspicious. I asked her why she was being all weird and all that but she just said she was tired. Then we settled into a nice drink and fudge. Then she told me the exciting news, she was getting launched into space to. How exciting. I won't have to make friends as fast as I thought I did.
Noooooooo! It has got worse, this afternoon I have to go and say goodbye to my family! Well, I guess it won't be so bad because I could ring............there is NO internet connection in space. (Sigh). The thing that I am most looking forward to is having a fun time. And I can not miss the fact that Kyra is coming too!
I am ready and suited in my suit. Well, I am getting suited in my really...tight, squishy, hot space suit. I feel like I am the guy from planet fifty one. Why oh why did I agree on doing this.
5,4,3,2,1, blast off! I have been laurnched into space and I am on mars. Can you believe that! Kyra is freaking out. She is a freak show! We discovered that Mars has lots of rocks on it. Maybe that's why Adam and Lisa off house rules said it was like Mars, there were lots of rocks in their zone. But anyway. Kyra thinks that she found traces of intelligent life. She is crazy. And I mean it. I am starting to think that I will like it up her on this rocky rust bucket.
